Crown Council Member Practices Support Our Special Olympics Athletes!

Mar 09, 2022

Every 4 years there is a tradition when extraordinary athletes compete in the Olympics. There are millions of people around the world that become fixated and in awe as they watch the games and see the resilience, passion, determination, the agony of defeat and thrill of victory.

The Smiles for Life Foundation and Crown Council have committed to the same resilience, passion and determination for Doing Good as Olympic Athletes. We are proud to announce a 2-year partnership with Special Olympics International and a new initiative, Adopt an Athlete. Crown Council practices that create a Culture of Success® are committed to “doing good.” The Adopt-an-Athlete program is just one of many ways Crown Council teams can do “More Good” in their practice and in their community.

An unfortunate fact is that people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) face several barriers that prevent them from accessing oral healthcare services. With approximately 7 million people with IDD in the US, this is simply unacceptable. Therefore in the spirit of the Olympics games, the Smiles for Life Foundation/Crown Council and the Special Olympics will be embarking on a new journey to provide resources, education, and access to oral healthcare services, to those that need it the most. Go for the Gold and join us in this movement!
